This in-person course will help you prepare for the Grades D2-D4 operator exams. Successful completion of this course meets the requirements of the MA Board of Certification of Operators of Drinking Water Facilities in order to be able to sit for the Grade D2,D3 and D4 state certification exams. Topics covered include: public health & safety, drinking water distribution system operation; drinking water system components from source to tap; solving word problems (math), hydraulics and chemistry basics; distribution design and components; water main installation, repair methods, and practices; cross connection control and surveying; backflow prevention and basic device types and functions; monitoring treated drinking water quality; equipment operation and maintenance; water storage tank types and components; operator safety and security; administrative responsibilities; passing the drinking water operator certification exam.
