Meeting current water quality treatment objectives will require a thorough understanding of the evaluation, control, and optimization of coagulation and filtration processes. This course will familiarize attendees with the chemical and physical aspects of creating appropriate and efficient coagulation and floc formation to allow for successful particle removal in untreated drinking water. A discussion of jar testing procedures and how the jar test can be used as a process control tool will be included as well. A major focus will be made on how to apply all processes directly to real-world situations.
